International Yoga Day Miami
Dr. Pradip Jamnadas will be speaking at the International Yoga Day Miami event on Saturday, June 20th at 3pm.
Session Title: Yoga as Medicine: The Physiology of Inflammation, Meditation, and Heart Health
Session Summary: Yoga is more than movement—it is a powerful tool for supporting overall health and plays a foundational role in physiological recovery and in reducing risk factors associated with disease progression. In this session, we will explore the physiology behind yoga’s therapeutic effects, including its role as an anti-inflammatory activity, the biochemistry of meditation and silence, and the influence of yoga on cardiovascular function and vagus nerve activity. Drawing from scientific research and a cardiology perspective, Dr. Jamnadas will examine how yoga can help reduce inflammation, support healthy blood pressure, enhance autonomic nervous system balance, and contribute to overall heart health. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the connection between yoga and the body’s natural healing mechanisms, along with practical insights they can apply both on and off the mat.
